I'm posting this for John. Don't forget the breakfast run this Saturday at the Steiner's home in Thurmont. I tried to post a copy of John's Facebook posting along with directions to his house and the course routes earlier this morning but things crashed on me.  Angry  I will get those posted later today. I know he has both an 8 mile and a 14 mile route mapped out starting at 9:00.

Ok, I've tried a couple of times and it's just not happening. I think most people received the directions through Mary Z's e-mail. If you didn't and need copies, e-mail me at sd44@earthlink.net and I will get them to you.

Alright...really sorry that I can't get these two runs posted, but even saving the files in Microsoft Word, the file is too large. This forum only allows attachments no larger than 192kb. My two Word files are just over 220 kb. So, I guess you'll just have to show up to find out the course! Yeah! A mystery run!!!  Grin

John and Jenny--Thanks for the great breakfast and for opening up your house to a bunch of soggy runners.  It was fun meeting the Catoctin H.S. cross country runners.  They are awsome.   Next time if we can have a little less rain and wind it would be nice.

I also want to express my appreciation for John and Jenny's hospitality this morning.  Smiley

Also, kudos to Rich for being the only one in the group to do the entire 14 miles.  Smiley  Steve P. would have but he was running with yours truly and when you do that, you just never know. Last week I went an extra 2 1/2 to 3 miles during the Greenway Trail 50K and this week; I turned too soon and came up about 3 miles short.  Huh It's funny how my little section of the universe seems to balance out that way.  Grin

Although I kept telling Steve, "You know, if we go down this road, we can add more miles.  Wink" But he just wouldn't go for it.  Huh

A big THANX from me too John & Jenny! I don't which was more delicious... the soup or pumpkin cake! Steve, you'e 2 for 2 on your runs. This is occuring more and more. Maybe we can take up a collection and donate it to the "Society for the Directionally Challenged"!

Guys it's even worse then you know for poor Steve D. I found him around 12:30 today wandering around Hamburg road mumbling about numb feet, ankle deep water, mud slick trails and fourteen miles. Sad..Very Sad  Undecided
