scoretility corrected for age grade issue

()

You may remember the kerfuffle with the decathlon 1600m result, i.e., that the age grade calculation didn’t seem right. Well I finally got a chance to look at this and after investigation I found that I did indeed break certain age grade calculations — this happened, ironically, when I was making a change to make the age grade more accurate (Sep 2017). This is known in the software world as a “regression”.

Most of the results calculated in the interim are ok. This regression affects only the “in between” distances for which there isn’t a row in the Howard Grubb age grade spreadsheet. So the 1600m was affected, but not the 1500m, 1 mile, 5K, 5M, half marathon, etc.

You might be interested that this did not affect the decathlon series results, as the series results are based on age graded time (not percent), which was not hurt by this regression.

This bug has been fixed and future races will have their age grade percents calculated correctly.

Unfortunately, I believe the trail series would have been affected, so I am asking Jenny Hallberg to retabulate those results.
