Dash 4 Disabilities 5K

Star’s Dash for Disabilities will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2015, at 10 am. Same day registration will begin at 8:45 am. The 5K cross-country run is a fund-raising event for Star Community, a non-profit located just outside of Hagerstown. Star serves individuals with special needs, including those with Down syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy, Angelman’s syndrome, spina bifida, aggression/anxiety disorders, and other developmental disabilities.
The 5-K (3.1 mile) cross country run takes participants around Star’s 145-acre property. For those who want to support Star, but do not run, a separate walk along a paved one-mile sensory trail is offered. We’re pet friendly: leashed dogs, cats, and other furry friends are welcomed.
