This is the 4th annual Break Away 5K! The mission of this race is to raise awareness and educate others about domestic violence. All revenue generated through this race will be donated to benefit the Heartly House. Heartly House, Inc. has been helping Frederick County residents, for over 30 years, who have been impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse. “We run so she doesn’t have to.”
Domestic violence is a pattern of behavior where one person exerts power or control over another through physical, psychological, emotional, verbal, sexual, and/or economic abuse. Domestic violence can happen to anyone. Thank you for helping us break the cycle of abuse.
Race day registration and packet pick-up will begin at 7 am outside of the William Talley Rec Center.
Parking on the street is limited, but garage parking is available. Be sure to allow enough time to park before the race.

Prizes are awarded for:
1st place, 2nd place, & 3rd place overall male and female runners and for 1st place in each age group male & female (17 and under, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50+).
