WDF 5K Training Program

This 5k women’s training program is for beginner, casual and intermediate runners. The program provides the opportunity to improve fitness while learning about running in an encouraging, friendly and collaborative atmosphere.

Sessions

The 2017 training session begins June 5th and runs for nine weeks.

Registration

This training program is free for Frederick Steeplechaser Running Club members. If you are not currently a member, you may sign up at Frederick Steeplechasers Membership. The membership fee is only $20 and includes a host of benefits!

Training shirt purchase is optional, and is available as part of online registration for the training program.

Meeting Info

Training sessions are held Monday evenings and Saturday mornings at the Baker Park gazebo in downtown Frederick. See registration page for details.

Goal Race

The goal race of the Summer Women’s 5k training program is the Frederick Women’s Distance Festival. Registration for the training program does not include race registration. Participants who plan to run the goal race must register separately.
