Most Epic Pi Day Ever Fun Run

This grand event will be held at the Earth and Space Science Lab.
Mathematical Pi is a never ending or repeating decimal and shows the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter.
The first 10 digits of ‘pi’ are 3.141592653. . . . .
Now pay attention here!
This coming year (2015) will be a once in a hundred year event. 3/14/15. Events and activities will take place throughout the day beginning with a “Pi K” family and individual fun run beginning at 9:26:53!
Special “pi planetarium programs,” (aka P3) will be available throughout the day, math activities and exhibits, a ‘pi’ scavenger hunt, an Einstein look-alike contest, (His birthday was 3/14) and several other contests will be a part of the festivities.
Prizes for the race and contests will be, of course, ‘pies’.

The Pi K fun run course will be 3.14 km – a bit less than 2 miles. The course will begin in the parking lot outside the ESSL and will continue through the beautiful grounds of the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
“The Most Epic Pi Day Ever” will be a part of the three year fund raising campaign for the ESSL. All proceeds from “The Most Epic Pi Day Ever” event will be used towards the purchase of new digital equipment and software in the planetarium.
