The 41st Annual Forest of Needwood Race – Jennifer Shafer Odom Memorial Run. This race is run through a historic property known as the Forest of Needwood in Petersville, just north of Brunswick, MD. The course is a scenic and rolling 5 mile loop. Race start time is 1:00PM.
The race honors the memory of Jennifer Shafer Odom, a true American hero. She gave her life in the service of our country while serving in the United States Army, in 1999. She was a Brunswick High School and West Point graduate. This race supports a scholarship fund in her honor.
Profit from the race supports our scholarship fund that has helped over 100 students with college expenses over the years, as we have given out over $12,000 to support them over the years.
