The first annual Run Up To Juneteenth 5K Run/1mi Walk was held in 2022 at the Baltimore Peninsula, and we’re back for 2023! We are Baltimore City’s official kickoff to the AFRAM Juneteenth celebration. Our 5K route begins in West Covington Park and spans the iconic Hanover Street Bridge, with a loop around Middle Branch Park that offers incredible views of the middle branch of the Patapsco River. As the first and only race route sanctioned to run across the Hanover Street Bridge connecting Baltimore Peninsula with the Cherry Hill neighborhood, the Run Up To Juneteenth is poised to become a Baltimore favorite.
