The Frederick Steeplechasers have been bringing the Market Street Mile to Frederick for over 30 years. This family-friendly race leads you down Market Street into the heart of historic Frederick’s “In The Street” celebration.
The Market Street Mile features competitive heats for Men, Women and Youth, along with our very popular Fun Mile and Family Mile. The Fun/Family Mile is untimed and we welcome families and individuals to run, walk, or stroll down Market Street during this event. Strollers are welcome in the Family/Fun Mile, however please note that the city does not allow dogs during the In The Street event.
