This program has been successful in helping runners of all levels reach their marathon race goals. Join the fun if you are looking to set a new PR this season.
Prerequisite: Participants must have a base of at least 1 year of regular running (at any speed) with a current comfortable long run of 8-10 miles and at least 15 miles/week.
Pace: Varies based on racing goals
Winter/Spring, starting December for Spring target race.
Summer/Fall, starting July for Fall target race.

This training program is free for Frederick Steeplechaser Running Club members. If you are not currently a member, you may sign up at Frederick Steeplechasers Membership The membership fee is only $20 and includes a host of benefits!
Training shirt purchase offered occasionally is optional, and is available as part of online registration for the training program.

Midweek evening at Baker Park (Talley Rec Center) Mileage ranges from 6-12 miles Focus on pushing pace over extended distances
Saturday morning long run – various Locations (contact firstname.lastname@example.org for details). Mileage ranges from 10-20 miles Weekly long run, with some runs focused on holding goal race pace over portion of route
